Alas! Pen and Paint has come to an end once again. Does that mean summer is over? We certainly hope not. But it's been quite the artistic and creative summer around here at SAD! So much unique Spuffy artwork and stories to go with. We want to thank all the participants for this event. We had 39 total submissions, which is incredible. Also a huge thank you to the amazing people who commented every month, celebrating these artists and writers who worked so hard.
Someone else we'd like to thank, who worked so hard for this event, is SomeKindOfADeviant who graciously created this year's Pen and Paint banner and awards. Please take a moment to bask in these gorgeous awards!

First of all, the banner and the awards are fantabulous. SomeKindOfADeviant has a unique style!
Otherwise, I didn't have my head in the event, competition-wise, so I was surprised to get a commenter award in addition to the beta award. But yay? And thanks!
I'll have to check back to find out what the criteria for the awards were, but I do think I only beta-read one story in the event. Anyway, yay again. [Puffing on my nails, and rubbing them on my clothes to make them shiny]
Great event, even though this year it seemed complicated, or rushed (haha, two months), or something? The art was amazing, that's for sure, but I have yet to read many of the stories they inspired.

Thanks so much as always to the SADmins for putting on such an awesome event!!! Pen & Paint is one of my favorites. It's such a blast to follow where our amazing artists lead. I hope everyone enjoyed this round!! I know I loved getting to see some fabulous artwork and read some wonderful new fics!!
