as a writer I cherish the comments for what they say but I cherish the likes for their sheer number. Both are valuable in very different ways.

@Magnus, usually there are more likes to a story than comments. If I comment on a story, I leave only one comment no matter how many chapters there are. But I usually leave a like for each chapter. And if I don't comment (because I am too tired or it's too late or whatever) I still leave a like. So,

Just to be clear, my comment wasn't about one being better than the other, just that in my mind it seems strange to leave both a comment and a like.

I get it, Magnus. I read comments, but I rarely even notice the likes. Not every author considers the two equally.

Magnus a like is always very appreciated by an author though and now itโs even easier to do so ๐๐.

No problem @Vero! I didn't realize it either until I noticed that the stories were having more comments than likes. Usually it's the other way around, so I did some digging and realized my likes weren't going through when I commented.

@flow - at the end of the chapter, right above the comment box on the right, there is a "thumbs up" icon along with the number of likes. You just click on the icon. You can then write your comment and post that (or like it after you post your comment if you forget!).

Love Spike's thumb too! Just wanted to pass on that I discovered that you have to click the thumb to give a like, it doesn't go through automatically with your comment.
