I did 99% of my writing (once I started it) in spiral notebooks at work. Not until I got my own laptop was I able/willing to type it directly into the laptop.

I didn’t have a typewriter, but I still have some notebooks with hand written Spuffy fanfic from back in the day. We had a computer, so I’m not really sure why I didn’t type it. *shrugs*

I was writing fanfic and poetry on a beat up typewriter that had sticky keys and sharing it with friends pre-internet. My first word processor and the ability to backspace resulted in a choir of angels over my head. I think I cried.

@honeygirl... I could have gone the rest of my life quite happily never hearing that noise again! My poor mother got so annoyed with me, because when she tried to ring me, my line was always engaged, and she wanted to know who I was talking to so much!
