Ugh, if you haven’t heard, the lovely and talented Emma Caulfield has announced that she has multiple sclerosis - has been living w/it for over a decade. That disease has done a lot of damage in my family - it’s good to see her living with it & working like the bada** vengeance demon she is. <3

Discord can be a great tool in the right hands. A friend held a ‘virtual’ NYE party during the height of the pandemic, setting up rooms to mimic the rooms in his home so you could move about his ‘house’ and wander in and out of conversations.

@Flow, I agree about the chat-room analogy. Or the Forums that Compuserve and AOL had. It can be confusing if a group of people get really into a topic, but in essence it's not that different from this Scooby Chat box - but no word limits. Just choose one channel and watch that to start with.

a Buffy-centric conversation, a conversation about what fic you are reading at the moment, a conversation about fanart - pick you favorite and hop into that specific thread. Then start saying "Hi" and wait how the conversation unfolds.

I'm pretty new to Discord too and found it confusing at the beginning. It's a bit like sitting in a room full of people who talk and you hear the chatter but you can't hear what they are saying. My best advice would be to focus on one topic at the start. There is a general conversation,
